Why movement matters
Instead of asking players to click obvious allow or deny buttons, the game asks them to inhabit the AI system before it acts. The player physically moves toward operational behaviors: collect evidence, test in a sandbox, preserve rollback, escalate, stop, or execute.
From game to product
In the product, SMERC sits between model outputs, tools, data, and real-world actions. Before an agent sends email, edits code, deletes data, moves money, calls an API, or triggers a workflow, SMERC evaluates the proposed action and returns ALLOW, THROTTLE, FREEZE, DENY, or ESCALATE.
